Woman found in distressed state after sex attack

A WOMAN was found in a distressed state bya passer-by following a sickening sex attack.

The victim ,who is in her 30s, had been on a night out and was walking home when she was assaulted in an alleyway.

She had been near the Oaklands Hotel, in Reeves Way, South Woodham Ferrers when she was approached by a group of three to four men in an alley.

One of the men then assaulted her.

The distraught woman was found in Queen Elizabeth Square by a passer-by at about 2.45am this morning (February 4).

The woman is currently unable to give any descriptions, as she is so distressed.

Detectives want to hear from anyone who was in the area between 2 and 3am this morning.

They are urgently asked to contact Central Serious Crime team at Braintree on 101.
